Can't Download Desktop Player!

I have been trying to watch Sky Sports live via the website because I have had problems with Sky Go but each time I try to download Desktop player the screen goes to 'error' with a code on screen and 'your session has expired.' I have tried to follow all the steps religiously but cannot get any further than this message. Any help greatly appreciated.

Try deleteimg all your Sky cookies via your web browser, reboot the browser and then try again.
