landline

Liike many others we've been switched by Sky..the broadband works fine but we can't make calls on landline  we can receive them fine

Initially I reported the prob on the helpline but the first two told me they'll get an engineer & the third was  totally unhelpful

How do I get an engineer ???

@edwina4 this has been dragging on for a bit. I'd suggest restarting your broadband Hub by switching off at the plug for a,few minutes. If that doesn't persuade it to cooperate, I'm afraid you'll have to speak to Sky again.

 

Bearing in mind you haven't got very far with them up to now, I'd suggest reporting the issue by way of a complaint. Use the web form option rather than calling: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Talk/landline/m-p/5054306#M96281

When was your Talk/Broadband service activated?

Is your phone plugged into your broadband Hub?

Black Hub or white?

Hi Mark

It's a black  hub  The stufff was installed on the 24th  and the engineer looked at my phone  & told me I should get that sorted which I tried to do. BUT today I have a date for service-tomorrow morning actually so fingers crossed  a/ s/he comes and                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            b /s/he gets it working properly

No Show engineer!!

I 'booked' an engineer yesterday & was told one will come today between 9 00 and 12 but no one came or rang!

As I'm severely disabled and very old I urgently need to m ake calls out on my landline-can recieve buyt that's all and all the rest  of broadband works fine  HOW can  I really get an engineer

Today an engineer came to sort my phone-he was about 2 hours and finally said everything ok and I need another engineer as he's a phone one and not a Sky ! how can I get another engineer for the problem???

Still no landline

It's been two weeks now and although we can recieve calls still can't make any. As I'm very old and housebound it's a real problem and I've got nowhere with numerous calls to the helpline, Can anyone suggest something please

Still can't make calls

It's now three weeks being unable to make calls. I've spoken to a number of helpline oeople who all say different things  I just don't get anywhere
