On the basis that hopefully your bills are up to date, try the below line test. Disregard it saying it will test your broadband

@Keith761
I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later. Sky will check your line and if an external fault is discovered pass it to Openreach to investigate.

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

This link explains what happens.

Re: landline fault

Re "Landline Re "Landline Fault" Wonderfull reply from Sky - Thank you. So, I understand you cannot receive calls, or have any dial tone. What happens when you try to make a call?

Perfectly reasonable question imo. You might be hearing buzzing, crackling etc. If the answer is likely to help Openreach resolve it I'm all for it.

Re: landline fault

So - more help from Sky -

Your Wi Fi is not enabled

Please turn on your Wi Fi to make and receive calls

If your Wi Fi signal is poor you can

Upgrade your broadband package and add Sky WiFi max today

At extra cost.

**bleep** has WI Fi got to do with land line calls?

Re: landline fault

All working fine now

I now have a dial tone and can make calls

Sky upgraded my broadband to full fibre 100 - it was only 72 before

This has also fixed my landline and only £7.50 extra per month.
