home phones disconnected
Last year I had Sky Fibre installed in my house. Due to this installation I now have no use for my main line telephones. Does anyone know whether the removal of the phones will effect my Sky bill?

You can still plug a phone into the back of the hub.

If you're already on the Sky Pay As You Talk tariff then no. If you're paying extra for some inclusive calls then call Sky to move to PAYT.

@r+hart yes - it won’t. Just make sure you have the default Pay as you Talk phone package, for which there's no monthly subscription charge.

What used to be 'line rental' becomes a bearer circuit charge, because there still has to be either a copper pair or an optical fibre to carry the broadband signal to the property and this has a monthly cost to the ISP.
Online advice to 'save money by cancelling an unused landline' is typically erroneous: as noted above, it's an inappropriate inclusive calls bundle which should be checked for.
