Today city fibre came down to install fibre all working fine but for some strange reason my landline has been turned of , i was told by the engineer that was to stay as is and will be sorted at a later date any help would be great i need my landline back no other means to call people.

@killborn1 that's not uncommon. However you will have internet calls (also known as Sky VOIP) where the phone service is delivered via your broadband connection, not via the old copper phone line. You'll need to plug your phone into the phone socket at the back of your Hub in order to connect.

@killborn1 the landline service typically takes 24 hours or so to become active. I assume your phone handset is plugged into your broadband Hub.

no the engineer said it that will be sorted at late date and left the landline as it was through the old copper system .
