faulty telephone service

My business telephone line does not work, it appears that the technical department for business lines does not work at weekends!

They suggest logging in and talking to virtual chat, you can't get anywhere with that, they say  try different websites, nothing works,

They don't care and a just a faceless company who offer poor service.

I'm not aware of the operating hours for Sky Business Customer Services as the forum is predominantly for the domestic service.

Have Sky Customer Services told you that ?

I have found this link… not sure if it's just for sales but the link suggests you can call up til 1900

I have an unpleasant suspicion that's a sales line rather than support.

Sky 'Business Broadband' has always been a rather odd product and only offers standard domestic Openreach response with their two working day  time to fix target: for a critical service with guaranteed response over weekends you'd need to look at more specialist provision (and, unfortunately, pay significantly more each month: domestic rates don't cover anything better)

Yep, thought that may be the case.

Yes, if you phone up it says out of business hours go to a website and spend half an hour getting nowhere

Re: faulty telephone service

The problem would seem to be that we had this equipment in 2022, Sky have recently updated it with a new system, but they will not put us on it despite repeated failures of the service.

Every 1 to 2 weeks we have to switch off, reboot the router and the voice box, a process that may have be repeated several time and takes 20 - 30 minutes EACH time. Of course you also have to know when it not working, so you have to call your own line several times a day to check. Its like we are a developing country!
