I have recently left sky and want to keep my landline number. My new provider are asking for a PO number and sky says this doesn't exist. Any one help

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI've never heard of a PO number, unless they're referring to a (General) Post Office number who were the forerunner of BT and Openreach. In any event I would take that to mean your landline number.
I don't know what other information your new provider would need (unless perhaps you're in the ROI?).

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs I understand it, in the ROI, you have to provide your landline number and UAN (which I think for Sky, is your Sky account number, but do check with them). I can't find any reference to a PO in COMREG requirements.

Thanks for that I provided my uan number but they are asking for a PO number I know before sky told me there wasn't one. Just wanted to keep my old number but its not looking like it. Thanks for your reply

ComReg advise that they have a 'Consumer Care Team' for such situations.

Hi mary no I never got it in the end. Just kept on to my new provider saying i couldn't get one and eventually they worked around it. Best of luck
