VOIP phone not calling out

Hi there,

 

I've had my new Sky WIFI Max Hub for a week, and ever since it was installed, my Polycom VVX441 has a dial tone but does not dial out or receive calls in.

My son-in-law has high speed Sky Fibre B/B, but with a black router/hub. ( not sure what the "name" of his router is ). 

I took my Polycom phone around to his house and it works fine there.

 

Need this phone to operate for work, and I know there are many posts regarding this here, but I can't see any "fix" being made known.

 

Help, please.

Is your phone is connected via one of the ethernet ports at the rear of the Hub?

 

Do be aware that Sky don't support business use of their landline/broadband services.

I put that it was for work thinking it would be treated more urgently. I am retired now but have the voip phone in my office and still use it to make calls whilst in there. 
Now it isn't working I keep having to go downstairs to make calls while not being able to access my pc at the same time.

Unfortunately not. Sky only provide a domestic service - you'd need to sign up with a business broadband provider such as Sky for Business in order to obtain a faster response time.

The 'fix' for issues between a SIP phone (which that model is) and a white Max Hub is to log the issue with Sky for them to address through an individual firmware reversion.
