Question had a bloke round to do an electrical safety check but since then I can't receive incoming calls on my landline, I don't have Internet calls so the phone bit plugs into the phone part of the filter and the hub part plugs into the hub part of the filter in wall, I have a dialing tone and I can phone out no problem just not receive incoming calls, broadband is fine.
Tried phoning my landline with my mobile & it does nothing no ringing tone on mobile at all just silence or the odd bit of clicking etc, does anyone have any suggestions what to try, I have unplugged all cables, unplugged phone etc, tried another phone, unscrewed the wall thing & plugged the thing directly into the wall bit and nothing, unplugged everything for about 25 minutes then plugged back in, did that 17070 thing and it's the right number then pressed 3 to request a call back which I got fine so I am at a loss what to do now, I get my phone with SKY.

It makes the first click like it wants to connect but does nothing for about 90 seconds then line clicks off, I have tried phoning it on mobile with the home cordless phone in my hand and it does nothing for about 60/65 seconds then rings about 3 times then comes up with unable to take your call at the moment try again later?

Phoned up the contractor and the lady on the phone said it won't have been anything the contractor did but I am still not sure as it worked fine when someone phoned me before the engineer came, so phoned up SKY & there is a fault on the line with receiving calls so someone is coming out one day next week to look at it, so hopefully it will get sorted then, just hope it won't cost me too much to get it fixed.

Hi
Just me or others having probs? We have lots of open reach vans about at the mo, so suspect something to do with that? Can't receive in coming calls but can make outgoing?

My friend has had the same same issue since yesterday evening.
It corrected itself today.
My best guess as I was helping them by calling, is that Sky Talk Shield had an a issue.
Would this be Sky side software by any chance? In which case it was down causing calls to not progress.
As soon as it rang this morning I got the talk Shield bit, instead of clicking.

Yesterday lunchtime ish could not receive calls and any caller was getting a blank noise, no ring.
Also, sky talk shield was not updating with any of the call data from 11am.
Called Sky yesterday early evening and they did their checks, could see no actual line fault but booked an openreach engineer to come out for tomorrow morning.
As of this last hour or so started to receive calls ok again and sky talk shield is listing them correctly.
So all fixed, sounds like maybe Sky Talk Shield had a glitch somewhere and was halting the incoming calls.
Will now have to go and cancel the engineer appointment on MySky.
