Unable to activate sky talk shield

My problem is that when I try to activate Talk Shield using the link on My Sky the web page returns an error message - Technical Issue - It's not you, it's us. 

 

I have just moved to sky and within hours started receiving repeated scam calls.

 

Looked at the help forum and discovered many queries on this particular subject however none seem to conclude with a solution.  . . .  is there one ?

We ended up calling the sky help line, after only a 7 min hold, we spoke to a lovely lady who went through everything with us and activated Talk Shield without problem. Excelent service !

@Keith034Might be that not all of the elements of your activation have not completed and some systems don't see you as being with Sky. First off would say to give Sky a call to see if they can activate talk shield for you.

 

But they might say wait 24 hours, it is worth giving them a try. Just dial 150 on your landline

 

When asked the nature of the call say " Technical ", you might be asked for a mobile number give this, but DO NOT hang up and it should drop you into the queue to speak to an advisor.

Unable to activate sky talk shield

So I am trying to activate sky shield on the phone but when loading the settings on both website and app I get an error message. Anyone know if this is an issue with sky ?

I've spent the last fortnight trying to activate Sky Talk Shield, came on here and rang Sky to activate it, have been told that even though i'm a Broadband and  a Talk customer i can't have Sky Talk Shield as I am not on a Sky landline? (I was orginally BT), he suggested i buy a new handset with sky shield preinstalled on it. #consused.com

@Wendy1070 there is a small number of lines which sit outside Sky's Voice and Broadband Network (SVBN) and are leased to Sky from elsewhere. Unfortunately it looks like yours is one of them. Some of Sky's normal calling features, including the Sky Talk Shield aren't available on these lines.

 

There are no handsets I know of which have Sky Talk Shield preinstalled. However handsets with BT's Call Protect incorporated in them do a very similar job as the Shield and should work fine.

Call sky on 150. There is a known problem on some accounts and get very genetic automated messages that even sky staff cannot answer when it will be fixed but the company happy to keep taking your payment every month. Hope you get it sorted

I've been reading thru the other issues people have been having with Sky Shield, I keep getting the same error message when trying to activate it - 'It's not you it's us'.  Frustratingly I can't even find a contact phone no, or an email address to complain about the issue, all I get is one of their Chat boxes.  I want to speak to a person to resolve my issues, - blocking scam calls - not a robot!!!

150 is the number to call Sky on from your landline phone.
