Hi All,
My Sky Talk telephone line is dead, has been for months now 😞
I have tried different telephone handsets / base units and no joy.
I contact virtual assistants but get nothing useful from them.
I contacted Sky who told me I had to call them, which is pretty tough with no working telephone line.
Does anybody have any ideas on what may be the cause of this? I heard that exchanges were going digital but according to my bill we haven't changed over yet.
My broadband is all working ok, albeit a little slower than the guide, but still good enough for my needs.
Or is there a way I can contact a Sky engineer / representative using email?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

I have now managed to make contact with a Sky support team who believe there is an issue with Openreach and they have now logged a fault call with them so hopefully they will be able to resolve it.
Sky will have run a test on your line and if they have contacted Openreach this will be because they have found a fault somewhere outside of your property. Openreach aim to fix faults like these within 3-5 working days.

Hi, thank you for the quick reply.
It is connected to the wall socket.
I have not got internet calling.
I did try with a compatible handset, plugging it in to the hub but this did not work either.

Hi,
It comes back with an error when I enter my telephone number.
I have now managed to make contact with a Sky support team who believe there is an issue with Openreach and they have now logged a fault call with them so hopefully they will be able to resolve it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my questions on this forum, appreciated.
I will post back if / when Openreach resolve the issue.
thanks again
