Telephone Landline Not Working

Hello,

 

My landline stopped working yesterday - we can't make or receive calls, not even to the voicemail or 1471.  

 

I have done as instructed in Sky Help, checked the microfilter and run the diagnostics and the broadband/wifi are all working fine, it's just the telephone that's not working.

 

I even borrowed a friend's phone but the same thing happened, unable to make or receive calls.

 

Can someone please help resolve this issue.

Keep an eye out for an invite or blue chat bubble. When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Update:

 

Spoke with @AlanT63 line checks were unable to find fault nor was our troubleshooting steps, appointed  Openreach engineer booked in for Thursday afternoon.

My landline would not receive calls since 17th Dec 2022.

At first calls going out worked with a scratchy noise. From 18th Dec no calls sending out.

 

Now mobile talking is not readily heard by contact, tho contact sounds clear.

Also mobile no calling sound

@WalkingThese are two different issues one with your landline and the other with your mobile. Who is your carrier for your mobile?

 

Could you please run through the help for to see if the fault for your landline can be picked up.

@bBakeney76 first run the connection test per the link in the post immediately before yours, regardless of whether or not,your broadband is working ok. If a fault is detected you'll be able to book an engineer there and then.

 

If it doesn't detect a fault, we can ask the Community messaging team to contact you via the forum so that you can report it, if you wish.

It's my telephone that's not working to engineer connected my finer and now my phone is dead.

@Esty1 is your phone plugged into your broadband Hub? When was your new fibre service activated? Black broadband Hub, or white?
