Stopping incoming callls.

I have difficulties using digital landline and want to suppress incoming cals with a polite messgage. Sky have sold me call diversion, changed their mind and now 1571 - engineer coming Sunday.. Will this work?

@rawmichael 1571 is Sky's Voicemail service, to which incoming will be diverted automatically if they're not answered within a few rings.

For a small additional monthly payment you might prefer to subscribe to Sky's Voicemail Plus service, which (amongst other things) allows you to record your own personalised greeting for callers, rather than rely on the standard default Voicemail message.
