No cable between phone and router

I've been without a telephone service since my broadband was connected over a month ago. No compatible cable was supplied and the engineer didn't point out that there was an issue before he left. I don't know the name of the cable required so I don't know how to source the correct one. I have pictures but can't see how to add them. The ends of the cable required are different.

@SkyDisappointed how was the phone previously connected to a wall socket? It should be a simple matter of transferring the plug from the wall socket to the socket at the back of your broadband Hub.

If your phone is old and was hard wired to a BT connection, it would be simpler to buy a modern replacement phone.

It's not been connected to the wall socket for years and I don't know where that old cable is. It's probably been recycled. Before I was with Sky I was with Vodafone and the telephone connected to the router by a cable that isn't compatible with the Sky router.

@SkyDisappointed you've successfully added the images, but despite them being clear, I can't see for sure what type of socket the marked line port is - it looks like either an RJ45 or a slightly smaller RJ11 socket. 

I suspect it's more likely to be an RJ11 socket, so you might want to try an RJ11 to BT plug cable?
