Sky voip

We have just been updated with sky VoIP. All 4 lights are on, on the router. When we plug in the phone we cannot make outgoing calls and get a continual dialling tone. When we call in, it rings and we can answer, however although we can hear the caller the caller cannot hear us.   
Any ideas?

I'm assuming your phone is plugged into your broadband Hub. It won't work from a wall socket. When was your service activated? It can sometimes take a full 24 hours for the phone service to be fully active.

Service was activated on 2nd July. Yes phone is plugged into router.

@KP2524 the last thing to try before reporting it to Sky, is restarting your Hub by switching off at the plug for 30 seconds or so. If that doesn't resolve it, either give Sky a call (on 150 from your landline phone) or if you wish we can ask their messaging team to contact you here tomorrow so that you can report it via a private online chat.

Thanks I'll try tomorrow. Just got it in the neck for unplugging the hub whilst she was watching Emmerdale. I'll call from mobile if it doesn't work as I have no other landline other than VoIP now.
