Sky Talk problem

On my Sky Talk phone, a tone does not sound to let me know a message has been left.

@IaninSussex have Sky activated Voicemail on your line? It's not provided automatically. If you have, you should get an interrupted dial tone when a Voicemail message has been left.

Is Voicemail chargeable as an extra?
