A few weeks ago we had two outages one, for a a day and then one for 3 weeks with no landline or alarm services.
(removed)
We are in Basildon (SS16) and us and most of our neighbours don't have a landline again.
Just wondering...?
1. Is anyone else in SS16 having issues?
2. Are BT Openreach aware of the issue in the area of Basildon (SS16)? Sky Talk says they are and won't send an engineer to the property until there's an update by Openreach. (Pinch of salt time)
3. Is Sky Talk aware of this and proactively informing customers that this is already being fixed. (Second pinch of salt time.)
Any help would be appreciated....

If you've reported in to Sky, they will have passed it on to Openreach for investigation and a fix. You will have to contact Sky again if you want to see if Sky have received an update.
This link explains auto compensation for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your account.

Yes I have thanks. It says Sky Talk is fine for us but the person I spoke to said in the BT Openreach status board they use, it shows there's a problem in our area.
I would love to know why? What is Sky Talk actually checking?

Sorry but pinch of salt time again.....
For a 3 week outage, I got a £9 and change credit...

Hiya, Yes in Langdon Hills.
Phone has gone again. Not great as we run a business. Luckily mobiles to call on but a pain non the less.
