How can / do I report that we accidentally cut through our phone line while doing home repairs ?

I take it this line you cut is outside of your property ?

No it was inside wall just happened to be where we needed to bang whole through wall, but couldn't remember and forgot about it to be honest.

To check is this the cable that comes in from outside and goes to your master phone socket? Openreach won't fix a cable that goes to a phone extension.

Well why not how else is phone line gonna work without master socket ?
it is old mind as been in property nearly 35 years as Originally with BT but been with sky talk the last year or so.

Well yeah seeing as phone and broadband not been working since followed cable back through our garage then outside up to corner of house.

Ok, I've flagged your post to Sky and a Community adviser may be able to help you via private, online messaging later today. Look out for a blue/red chat 'bubble' towards the bottom of the page and an email inviting you to chat online. Replies from Sky may not be instant, so check back from time to time for updates.

Still need help think we need an engineer to come out and have a look as we tried a new phone line socket but not working ?

It appears you didn't fully engage in the chat invite. I’ve re-escalated your post to Sky and the Messaging Team may get in touch with you again later.
Look out for a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. Once that speech bubble appears you have 48 hours to click on it and join the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to each chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky are not instant so you’ll need to regularly check the chat thread.
