Re: Landline problem

Hello. We have the same issue. We had full fibre installed on Friday, switching from a copper line for anytime calls, to VoIP.

There is a dial tone to the landline but we found after Openreach left that we could not call out or receive incoming calls.

Though of course the base set is plugged in to power and the correct socket on the router.

I'm not sure if this should work immediately or we have to wait for Sky to do something to switch across the landline fully.

@Grim26 yours is not the same issue so I've moved your post accordingly to a new thread.

Yes, it often takes a working day or so for Sky/Openreach to move your service to your new fibre line - it took about 10 days in my case. I'd suggest leaving it until Wednesday and if it's then still not working, restarting both your broadband Hub, and the ONT by switching off at the plug for 30 minutes (if you have a white Hub, leave it for an hour). Let us know how you get on.

Re: Landline problem

Thank you. It took nearly an hour on the phone and then a follow up call after engineers had done something in the background, to fix this.

On the call, I was promised a refund of two months Anytime calls, that would be credited to my account by yesterday (Friday 2 October). A sum of £32.

As with every single interaction with Sky, that promise was not met.

Does anyone have a good experience with Sky. Ever?
