Problems with Sky Talk

My elderly mother is having problems with her sky talk. She is getting loads of interference during calls, both ends. She has microfillters on the line but still experiencing problems. Sky say there are no problems with the line. Can anyone please advise 🤔

@kc60  Have you had someone if you are unable to change out the microfilters if they have not already tried this to fix the issue with the interference?

I agree with @Highlinder . The first step would be to replace all microfilters, and to make sure there's a microfilter fitted to each connection to the phone line, including any extension sockets.

@kc60 Does your mother also have broadband with Sky and if so does she have issues with this also?

@kc60 Has your mother a spare phone to try and see if it is the phone that is the issue, as normally with interference you would also have broadband issues. If the filters have been changed out. Trying another phone with discount it being an internal issue if you are hearing the same interference.

@kc60  If that comes back the same interference then get in contact with Sky and tell them what you have already done. This way it will shorten the need to troubleshoot what has already been done.
