Original Landline Number

I have just moved over from TalkTalk to Sky but Sky has given me a new landline number and I want to retrieve and keep my old number how do I go about doing this?  I can't get through to anyone at sky.

@Arna2016

Did you request to keep your landline number when ordering although even then Sky can't guarantee it will happen?

Your phone number

Most of the time you can keep your existing number when moving to Sky Talk. Just let us know your existing number and your phone provider when placing your order.

Good to know: Order Sky Talk before cancelling with your current provider – we won’t be able to transfer your number if you cancel with them first.

If we can’t transfer your number or you want a new one, you’ll get an email or letter with your new number. Or sign in to My Account to see it.

Re: Original Landline Number

The lady did not ask and did not say a new landline number would be issued.  I'm afraid I took it for granted my old number would be transferred across as I asked if there was anything I needed to do and she said no.

I fear your number is lost in the bucket of numbers stored by Sky.

Oh that's a shame I've had it for years and didn't want a new number.

@Arna2016

You have nothing to lose by calling Sky (150 free) from your landline phone but I doubt they will be able to do anything.
