I have just upgraded my broadband and now my phone is not working. I have a dial tone but when I try and dial out I can only enter 8 digits before being told the service is unavailable. Also when you phone my number it goes through to a random person who has never heard of me. Has something got mixed up in the phone exchange when the upgrade was done? I've tried all the hints online and nothing helps.

You have a telephone switch misconfiguration by Sky and it will need to be escalated to Sky, this can be done by dialling 150 on the phone which should get you through to Sky so you can report the misconfiguration of Sky's telephone exchange equipment, eg: 13 digits so international/mobile calls can be made through your phone.
