I've had sky broadband and sky talk since March 2023, my broadband works fine i never intended using sky talk until the other day, so i ordered a new phone I've plugged it in and there's no dial tone. If you call my sky talk phone number it rings on the the handset your calling it from, but not on the landline in the house. It's plugged directly into the open reach box which has a double socket for phone and broadband. Any advice what the issue may be please.

If your broadband Hub has an indicator labelled 'Voice' on the front panel, and it's lit, you need to plug your phone into the socket at the back of the Hub. It won't work from a wall socket.

Re: No dial tone on landline
Hi I am having the same issue but there is no 'voice' option on my router. I tried calling Sky but could only get through to an automated service. Can you put me in touch with an engineer please. I have tried all of the advice and nothing has worked. My broadband is working fine.

Re: No dial tone on landline
@Mixerman02 has your landline with Sky been working up to now? Do you have a white Max Hub?

Re: No dial tone on landline
Hi Mark, yes it's been absolutely fine up until now, had it for years. I noticed it wasn't ringing then picked up the phone and there's no dial tone. I'm not sure which hub I've got so have attached a photo (excuse the dust!)

Re: No dial tone on landline
@Mixerman02 just for reference, that's a Sky Q Hub.
With regard to the phone issue, check your Service Status for any known major fault in your area first. If that's clear, try the connection test even if your broadband is working ok.

Re: No dial tone on landline
Good evening, an engineer came to look at the issue and it was fixed but it has happened again over the weekend. I'm trying the service checker but it says there is no fault although I have no dial tone. Therefore it won't give me the option to book an engineer. Can anyone help please?
