No VOIP phone since fibre install
Add myself to the list of people with issues.
Full fibre 300 install 5 days ago.
SR203 router, with firmware 7.04.0204.R
Phone gives dial tone.
When make outgoing call to mobile, gets through, but no sound in either direction. Charge of about 26p goes on bill for call attempt, so has been recognised by the Sky payment systems.
Calls to 17070 give dialling tone, but not picked up.
Incoming calls from mobile do not get through, and mobile goes silent. No error tones.
Switched router and fibre termination box off for over an hour. No change to behaviour, but they did not get a new IP address, same as before. Repeated this.
Called Sky , talked it through with a very helpful Sky person (name forgotten), and after some pokes, including factory reset, an incoming call from the Sky person got through.
However, no change to any other behaviour.
Which makes me think this is an error with the Sky VOIP servers, because if calls get through from Sky, but not outside, then it proves the router and
phone are ok, and so the fault must lie with the Sky servers.
I don't have the heart today to call Sky again, so hope this helps. May try again tomorrow.
