Micro filter needed for Sky Talk?

My old phone works OK in the Sky router's phone socket but do I need to add a micro filter? I can't hear any interference as yet but it's early days. I have seen it suggested that a filter is required.

@jakeox no, no microfilter is needed.

No: microfilters existed to prevent induced interference from telephone extension cable affecting ADSL and FTTC speeds.

When a handset is connected to the BT socket on a router it's automatically isolated from any such cabling (which is why extension sockets no longer work; )
