Micro filter for my **bleep** phone extension box

  • I have an extension box in my bedroom,  do I need a micro filter in that box before I connect my second phone. My broadband box is in the front room. 25 meters from my bedroom.

If your main phone socket has only one socket, you need a microfilter for both that socket and the extension socket in the bedroom,.

If the master socket at the address has a pre-filtered master faceplate (twin sockets as in the bottom row below) then extensions don't require a plug-in microfilter.

If the master is a single socket (top row) then every wall box hosting a phone should ideally have a plug-in filter.
