Lost Landline
I've connected a TP-Link X55 to the back of my Sky SR213 router.
2.4 and 5 have been switched off on the Sky router
The X55 is in Access Point Mode
The telephone is still connected from the wall to the back of the Sky router
I have lost the telephone line and would welcome suggestions before messing things up 🙂

Re: Lost Landline
@Frenchfries I doubt there's any connection between connecting your mesh system and losing your landline.
If you have standard calls,,your phone should be plugged into a wall socket, via a microfilter if your phone socket doesn't have separate ports for Internet and telephone.
If you have Internet calls, your phone should be plugged into the phone socket at the back of your Sky router.

Re: Lost Landline
It is VOIP. The telephone cable starts from the router and is connected to the telephone.

Re: Lost Landline
My original statement was erroneous.
The telephone is still connected from the Sky router to the telephone

Re: Lost Landline
@Frenchfries I'd suggest first restarting your router by switching off at the mains for an hour (the ONT at the same time, if you have full fibre).

Re: Lost Landline
Not sure what you mean by ONT? I will try for an hour, thanks.

Re: Lost Landline
@Frenchfries if you don't have full fibre - that is, a separate fibre optic cable to your home (I'm guessing you don't) you don't have an ONT, so you can ignore that.

Still not working after 60 minutes. I will have to contact Customer Service.

Re: Lost Landline
@Frenchfries sorry to hear that. If you wish, we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat, rather than call?

Re: Lost Landline
Spent some time on the phone (mobile) with Sky but because the TP-Link is third party, they don't want to check why the telephone line isn't working or help by suggesting settings. I will sleep on it and probably give up on the landline altogether.
Thank you for your help anyway:)
