Line cord error

Hi. I have my telephone  plugged into my secondary openreach socket but I get ' line cord error' and no dial tone..But on the master socket I can get a dial tone and the error doesn't appear. 


Trouble is I want to use the phone in my secondary socket. I've tried all the basic troubleshooting recommended on sky website.

@TIMOTHY.VIEWEG  Have you recently joined Sky or has this just happened out of the blue?

That suggests a fault with the cable between the master socket and your extension socket, or the extension socket's faceplate.

 

Is the extension socket wired directly into the master socket, or does the cable end in a plug at the master socket end, that you plug into the master socket?
