My landline will receive incoming calls but when I make outgoing calls I get the engaged signal for every single number except emergency services. Internet is working fine. I bought a new handset with the same results.
I am elderly and in poor health and do not have a mobile phone.
I have spoken to Sky rep who (after running tests) said he would book an engineer then broke off and said that an outage had been reported and it would be resolved as they were working on it. That was on Thursday. I can't find a report of an outage on Sky's site or on any of the sites that record them.
I really need my phone as I am largely housebound.
can anyone help please?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you only spoke to Sky on Thursday they pass any fault on to Openreach to investigate and fix. They generally try to fix in 3 working days so tomorrow (Monday) will be day 2.
