Landline suddenly stopped working, possibly 2 weeks ago and I have just been told today.

My brother contacted me today to say he and his wife have been trying to phone on my landline for a week or so, and the call "is not connecting".  My last call received was on 23rd September and so I am not sure when this problem began.  I cannot phone my landline from my mobile phone.  When I try to ring my mobile from my landline it says that I cannot take the call and to leave a message (despite my mobile being available).

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you sometime tomorrow regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

@Greenfingers001  Problem resolved by Sky.  They apparently had to re-set-up my phone system as something went awry as far back as February!  I have asked them to leave the case open for 24 hours so that I can check thoroughly.  Thanks for your help here.

@Greenfingers001 Issue not yet totally resolved .  People can indeed now phone me and they hear me just fine; but all I hear is loud hissing and crackling and cannot hear the caller.  Impossible to have a conversation.

@caesarome I did respond and have been in chat all day (still is active).   Tried several solutions/tests/checks were run several times.   The problem is not fully resolved and I have now contacted by phone the department for faults.  An engineer is coming on Wednesday.  Thanks for your help.
