Landline number change

I've just switched to Sky and requested to keep my old landline number. I think it said online when I made the request that there was no guarantee of this. Anyway, the number has changed and although it's not really a big deal, if I can easily switch it back I'd prefer to do that. Anybody else had this issue and resolved it?

@Abi65 yes, providing there's no technical issue preventing your number being ported, there's a possibility of retrieving it, except if you switched from NOW when your number definitely can't be ported.

It involves cancelling and re-provisioning your broadband/landline service hopefully picking up your old number in the process. It means being without any service for several days, and has to be done within 31 days of your original switch to Sky.

If you want to proceed, give Sky a call (on 150) to request it, pointing out that you did originally ask to keep your number.
