Landline not working

Hello,

 

Our landline has stopped working. There is no dial tone, nothing to suggest the phone itself is working. We bought a new phone thinking that was the issue, but still no success.

 

The landline is not connected to our broadband or any other service. My broadband, which comes from the same source at the wall, is fine.

See if you can run this line test to see if a fault is found outside of your property and if something is found you can book an engineer repair, ignore the fact it says it will test your broadband:

You can also run this test via the MySky app.

Hey, thanks. I ran this line test and it has identified an issue with my broadband. It says:

 

We’ve found that your line isn't performing as well as it could be. But don't worry, from tonight we're going to make some changes to try get you back up and running.

 

What you need to know

  • Keep your Sky hub turned on.
  • You don't need to call us - we're working on it in the background.
  • Check back here in two days and we’ll confirm how your line's performing.

Is this likely to have any impact on the status of my landline? Thanks.

See if your landline is working tomorrow and post back here if it isn't.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.
