Landline not working.

Hi, my landline has stopped working, there is a ring tone but if a call is attempted  I get a engaged tone. If there is a incoming call is say that this number is not recognised. 

My broadband is still working but not the landline. 

Any help or advice would be great, thank you in advance

Try running a line test. If an outside fault is disclosed it should allow you to organise an engineers visit and save you calling Sky.
