Our landline phone has no dial tone. although when you ring our house phone number it rings on the mobile end, the landline handset makes no noise.
checked the troubleshooting on sky app but it said to check the light for 'voice' on the broadband box and ours doesn't have one so don't know how to resolve as can't make calls from mobile due to poor signal and wifi calling not working from mobiles either

Just so you know, we're customers here, but,I've alerted Sky to your post and the Community advisers may be able to help you via the forum later today.
Look out for a blue/red chat 'bubble' here and an emailed invitation to chat online. Note that it's an online messaging system so replies from Sky won't be immediate - just go about your day and check back from time to time for their latest reply.

Thanks for your reply @Mark39
i will check back for responses, although the fact that every time I click to respond to a message on this forum / like a post / write something new it asks me to log in again and then asks me to accept the cookies as well is making me want to leave sky.
There's an irony in them making the section where you ask for support extra frustrating

A lot of sites are saying that a sky phone line is now digital and should be plugged into the router and not into the master socket. We have sky q but the router sent via sky only has internet ports no phone line port. Should I have been sent an updated router when this was changed over this May over come my issue?

Posted by a Sky employeeYou would only get a new router if you changed your internet package to one that required the new hub.

If it doesn't detect the fault, you'll need to report it to Sky. We can ask their Messaging team to contact you here via a private online chat so that you can do that, if you wish.

Do you not normally have a landline phone connected? Where have you connected it, back of hub or the Openreach socket?

Thank you @Mark39 the test shows no issues. Would be grateful if you could escalate it for me. Thank you
