Landline not working and i do not own a mobile phone

Landline not working just a cackling on the line when people call it just rings out i have tried ALL steps and nothing,

I am also disabled and rarley (if ever) leave the house, i have already missed one important telephone consultation, PLEASE HELP.

Keep an eye out for an invite or blue chat bubble.

When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Be reassured the email & message is from Sky and your details are safe and secure.
If you are using Safari please make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the blue bubble. If you are having trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Firefox, Chrome etc.

I would also recommend that if not already on, that you turn email/private message notifications on to avoid missing any alerts

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@M234 what's the background to this? Are you new to Sky's phone service? Is there a dial tone? What checks have you made? Work through Sky's troubleshooting here: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-talk/fix-problems-with-my-phone/articles/fix-phone-problems-start

Been over a week now without landline working..not heard anything back from SKY..bet i will be billed on time though, i mean how hard is it to check if there is a fault on the line. Thanks for escalating it  and trying at least,seems i will have to buy a mobile phone which i never wanted to do.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky again and their Messaging Team should contact you later today. 

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

Wait for contact via the chat invite today but if you have a disability it may be worth registering with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help you in the future. Been nearly 2 weeks without a phone now..THISD PROBLEM WILL NOT BE FIXED by having a chat in a blue bubble..I NEED A ENGINEER!!!!! why am i being ignored! every time i try to book a engineer it tells me i cannot because i do not own a mobile phone..

If it's still active you need to continue to engage in the chat tomorrow. If an engineer visit is felt appropriate they will arrange one.

i know for a FACT that i need..one ive tried 4 (yes 4) different handsets..turned eveything off at the mains  numerous times..i have reset my routrer oiver ten times...like i said even when they test my line online its says YOU NEED A ENGINNER..and then i try  to book it online but because i do not own a mobile phone (i am agraphobic and rarly if ever leave the house) ..it wont let me book one. Thanks for the help.
