Landline not working. Please advise
My landline is completely dead. I have taken all steps suggested but to no avail. According to this website, there is already a problem with the internet. The internet is indeed slow, but it is working. I need the landline to work as mobile reception here is poor as we are surrounded by other houses (it is a back avenue). Pleae fix asap as I cannot phone my 82 year old mother or father, especially the latter as father has cancer. Thank you.

Re: Landline not working. Please advise
@Tom_F Please note this is a customer helps customer community, nothing can happen on the back of a post from an unlinked account.
However we can escalate this to the Community Messaging team.
When was the last time your landline worked?

Re: Landline not working. Please advise
I'm guessing it hasn't worked for some time seeing I haven't heard from my mother who otherwise rings at regular periods. It's a 'chicken and egg' situation. How can I contact Sky technical if I cannot ring them via my landline??

Re: Landline not working. Please advise
We can ask the Sky Messaging Team on here to contact you for a private chat. They can check your phone line and if an external fault is found pass it on to Openreach for you. Let us know if you wish to do that.

Re: Landline not working. Please advise
@Tom_F
I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.
You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.
This link explains what happens.
