Landline not worked for a month now

My landline hasn't worked since 28th august and it's now 27th September. No one is keeping me up to date on when it will be fixed and whether there will be a bill reduction or compensation. Has anyone else had this?

@trolleybag

See this link re auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it once it’s fixed. It will come in the form of a credit appearing on your account.

Hi, yes I reported it to Sky. Apparently it's not their fault, BT OpenReach need to replace some stolen copper cabling.

Re: Landline not worked for a month now

@Daniel0210 Thanks for the link. I spoke to Sky again today and they contacted BT OpenReach who said it should be fixed by 6th oct which is over 5 weeks. Then he said he's not sure if I'll receive automatic compensation because I don't actually pay for a line and I'm on a pay as you go type thing. I explained I've still not been able to make or receive calls for all that time but he says the decision is with openreach. I'm very confused.

If you have Sky Talk as part of Sky Broadband then you are 'paying for a line' and compensation should apply.
