Land Line Not Receiving Calls

Hello,

 

I have transferred over to Sky today, have kept my original number which was agreed between the two companies. 
Phone is plugged into Sky Hub as advised, I can make calls but unfortunately I can not receive incoming calls, any help or advice greatly received. 
Everything is setup as per instructions, so I'm a little unsure .

@BostonFox it can take up to 24 hours for the phone service to be fully activated. I'd suggest restarting your Hub tomorrow, and if there's still no dial tone, do post back and we'll try to get some help for you.

@Mark39 @Thank you, just seemed strange I could make a call but not receive one, will try resetting again tomorrow.

@Mark39 good morning, pleased to say issue has now been resolved, woke up this morning to a text message from Sky advising issue had been resolved and it certainly was, happy days.

 

One more question, if you can help or advise, when we moved to Sky with our existing telephone number we were ex directory and were told this would still be the case, now I don't believe this is the case. When we call someone our number comes up on the receivers phone, it never used to do this. Any ideas or help? Thanks in advance

Morning @BostonFox, good to hear your phone is working OK now.

 

Withholding your phone number is actually not the same as being ex-directory.

 

You can withhold your number for any call by dialling 141 before the number you want, or you can withhold your number automatically for all calls by giving Sky a ring and they'll activate it for you. Dial 150 for Sky. All calla to Sky Customer Services are free to Sky Talk customers.
