We are unable to receive or make phone calls. On the screen of our phone its telling us to check phone line. Our Internet is working its just our phone that isn't.

Where precisely have you got the phone plugged into and is the a new installation? If it is a new installation then it is likely VoIP and then the phone plugs into the router then, otherwise it is the master socket.
Otherwise, it is a fault, usually, it is the phone itself and it is worth trying a replacement.
