Incorrect number showing on display

We are having a couple of issues with our landline:

Yesterday someone rang us and said we had phoned them, which we hadn't and the conversation ended.

I have just tried to ring our landline from work and it just rings out, doesn't even go to voicemail.

When someone at home called me, the caller display showed another number altogether.

Dial 17070 on your landline phone. The recorded message will play back your phone number. Is it what you're expecting your number to be?
