When trying to access on-line bank account the company gives me a verification code then rings my landline to check that I have that number. On answering they need me to press the hash key on my phone to presumably get to the point where I input the code. they have given me, but thehash key pressed is not recognised so we get no further.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHave you tried another phone as it sounds like it could be an issue with the handset not your connection?

Thanks for the reply, but it's not the landline handset equipment. It's some sort of clash between Sky technology and the bank's technology. Whatever Sky provide as a hash/star code from the handset is not recognised by the bank. It has happened in the past and the work around is to give the bank a mobile number, but this doesn't help all those who rely on their handset. Decided to see if anyone else has the same difficulty - the bank (and it's not just one) say they have the problem frquently.
