Digital Voice

Sky moved us across to Digital Voice last Friday.  Followed the instruction and plugged my landline phone direct into the Sky Router, but getting a fault tone, rather than the normal dial tone?? Any ideas?

@kelsm1 what sort of fault tone are you hearing? 3 ascending tones? A continuous number unobtainable tone?

 

If you have black broadband Hub, is the Voice LED on the front panel illuminated amber or green?

Constant unobtainable tone and yes the green voice light is on

@kelsm1 thanks. It may simply be that Openreach haven't switched you over to digital calling yet. 24 (working ) hours is common, sometimes it takes longer. In my case it was 5 working days. You could try restarting your Hub by switching it off at the plug for 10 minutes or so. If that doesn't resolve it, I'd suggest leaving it until, say Wednesday. If it's still the same, we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it (or if you have alternative means, you could give Sky a call).
