Connecting a cabled telephone
I have Sky broadband and talk but use my mobile phone for calls. However, I am in a very poopr connection area and often lose calls or people cannot get through. I therefore wish top get a ''plug in'' landline phone. When I get this (apologires for my complete ignorance) do I just plug it into a data socket and all will be well or the router . Also, will it then work as a normal telephone i.e. not internet ?

When Sky Talk Internet Calls is active, the working phone socket is the BT jack port on the rear of a Sky Broadband Hub or Max Hub. Neither data (ethernet) ports or extension sockets on the wall will function.

Yes, including the unfortunately high cost per minute unless there's a Sky Talk 'Extra' add-on in place.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
