Note that you can't use an IP phone directly with Sky's landline service. The only connection is via the analogue phone port at the back of the broadband Hub.

Bundled Sky Talk Internet Calls does not require a 'VOIP phone' (and in fact will not work with such hardware). It uses a standard analogue handset or DECT base plugged into the phone socket on the rear of a Sky Broadband Hub or Max Hub, and the VOIP part is invisible to the user.
If you are trying to use a real VOIP service (not Sky Talk) then you'd need dedicated VOIP hardware over ethernet or WiFi and a subscription to a VOIP call provider, with the login for that service configured on the VOIP kit.
Also note that millions of Sky Broadband subscribers haven't yet been transitioned to Internet Calls: it's currently arriving with new subscriptions, Home Moves and upgrades.
