Charged for calling a local number

I was charged £13.50 for calling a local landline number with area code 01698 followed by 6 numbers from my landline. It's not a premium number so I don't understand it.

@Andrena+Milwain  Unless you have a calls package you'll be on the default Pay as You Talk which as @Mark39  states are chargeable

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

All calls, except those for freefone numbers, and calls to Sky customer services are chargeable

The pence per minute charge for Sky Talk Internet Calls Pay as you Talk is unpleasantly high, with an added call set-up fee on top.  Your cost would be for about 40 minutes.
