Changing my landline number

I have an ex who is threatening and calling my landline, because of this I need to change my landline number. I can't report it to the police as this will cause even more threatening abuse.

1 I shouldn't be charged a monthly fee for this privilege, I need to block a number for safety..

2 or I change my landline number, I shouldn't be subject to having to file a police report for this privilege.

Please can you advise how I go around this.

I called and the person, very difficult to understand,  put me on hold and then put the phone down.

Thank you

@Anyone123

You would need to call Sky to discuss the option of changing your number. This may be dependent on the police being notified of the threats being made (so you having a crime number).

Even if you change your number it's not guaranteed your ex won't aquire it through mutual friends/family especially if they're not aware of the threats.

Having said that you shouldn't need to change your number because if you have got the Sky Talk Shield activated then you can use this to block the number that is calling you.

@Anyone123 Sky's stance has always been that they won't change your number unless you report threatening calls to the Police. I doubt that has changed.

You can, however, use the free Sky Talk Shield to block your ex's number and use the call screening facility to intercept incoming calls from any number not on your white list: https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-talk/sky-talk-features/sky-talk-shield/articles/sky-talk-shield-ge...
