Hi I have broadband and sky talk but never had a landline phone am I paying for something I don't need ie sky talk

Yes, if you currently subscribe to one of Sky's call packages, such as Sky Talk Anytime+.

If you have the Pay as you Talk, package, then no, because any calls are separately charged, so if you make no calls, there's  no charge.
