Broadband activated but phone problem.

BB is very good but phone had no dial tone.

Read a previous post about dialing 17070 dialled it even with no dial tone and an Automated Sky response said this phone number is ********** but it is not my old number that was suposed to be transfered at activation this morning.

Using my mobile it rings my phone and my phone now has dial tone.

Will the transfer of my old number happen?

Or have Sky messed up?

Do I wait or be proactive and contact Sky, if so how?

Thanks.

Sometimes you will need to wait 24+ hours after installation before the landline is fully operational.

I'm trying to remember if my son received anything when he joined just before last Christmas. I don't think he did.

@David382 it's not always possible to keep your number, even if you ask to. I suspect that's what has happened in this case.
