Can my new full fibre broadband router support 2 wired phones if I use a phone socket doubler?

Re: 2 phones with phone socket doubler?
@omega3That would have to be plugged into the back of the router.
If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

Re: 2 phones with phone socket doubler?
Many thanks for your answer. If I connect a wired phone to one socket and a cordless phone to the other, will the signal to the cordless phone be deactivated if I pick up the wired phone? In other words, will the cordless phone base stop sending signals to connect to the cordless phone.

Re: 2 phones with phone socket doubler?
@omega3 if you pick up an incoming call on your corded phone the other one will stop ringing. Once answered on a corded phone I don't know if you can continue the call on a cordless phone. You certainly can with two corded phones, but I don't know whether cordless functionality works in the same way.

Re: 2 phones with phone socket doubler?
Many thanks for your input. Basically I want the cordless function so that I can hear the phone ring in other parts of the house, but if I have a long chat on the phone, I want to use the corded phone and would not want the cordless phone to continue sending out signal/radiation.

Re: 2 phones with phone socket doubler?
To my knowledge, once a call has been picked up on the corded handset, there would be no signal from the base station to the handset, because no communication between them has been established.

Re: 2 phones with phone socket doubler?
I tried connecting a DECT phone and analog phone to the FON socket and they worked correctly but afterwards I was afraid I might be overloading my router but it would be nice if I could leave them both connected as I am deaf and need the analog phone to hear the phone ring. The manufacturers seem to have forgotten about deafness.

There shouldn't be any reason not to leave them connected: a DECT phone won't be drawing power from the phone socket.
