1800 numbers

I don't have any plan with Sky for my landline so am charged for any calls I make. Does this also apply to 1 800 numbers?

@Daltry1  I doubt a 1800 number would work in  the UK, you need an international number for the canadian bank

I have to contact a Canadian bank and they have given me a 1 800 number to call.
